This has been an interesting year of cheer. Kinley was dying to give it a try since both of her best gal pals were on the same squad. She claimed she liked practice (but I think she really just liked the water bottle and socializing during breaks!). She was not a fan of the football games. At all. But the competitions? Suddenly, she liked cheering!
The girls put on a show night at CSI gym before their big competition. They did such a great job! You could tell they had worked hard.

The next day was the real deal. The competition. Kinley seemed a little nervous, but really liked the fancy makeup and hair, haha.

While Kinley is ready to put away her pompoms (for good, I think), Kallen is dying to get out there and strut her stuff!

They took home 2nd place! (Don't tell anyone there were only 2 groups in their category!! heehee)
In all seriousness, they did a great job. Their coaches worked very hard as did all the girls. They lost points in the end over some stunt miscommunication but went on to win first place at the next competition. We had to miss it, but were so proud that the girls did great!

(Now, let's pack up all that cheer gear and relax a while! whew!)
