Jan. 24th, 2011

We woke up bright and early, ready to finally meet our little boy. With Kallen, our delivery got bumped several times, so we were prepared to wait again this time. However, this was apparently a slow day for having babies, we were the only ones there so we got started early!

Before we knew it we were hearing the cries of our new little love. And boy, did he cry! The doctors all joked he would be hoarse from all the crying!

As soon as Jeff was able to hold him, the crying stopped. There is honestly nothing like seeing your child, your sweet gift from God, for the first time. Best emotion and moments ever!

Our not-so-little bundle weighed in at 9 lbs 7 oz (and was a week early). He had and still has a head full of dark brown hair.

After we made it upstairs, family was finally able to come meet Graham Joseph. We were in recovery for a couple of hours waiting on my legs to regain some movement. The transport upstairs was insanely painful, so the majority of the first hour in our room is a blur to me! Jeff's parents and sister, Julie, were the first to meet him, they were so sweet to hang out in the waiting room all day!

My parents checked Kinley out early and brought the girls to meet their little brother!

"Him's sooo toot (cute)!"

My sweet friend sent these iron-on letters for matching shirts!

So curious...

 They like him!

KK and 2/7 of her grandkids :)

We knew it might be a little difficult for the girls to go back to school that next morning, but really wanted them to keep their routine if possible. So, we arranged for them to take a special treat to school that morning to celebrate with their friends! They were so excited to go!

The blue donuts were Kinley's idea. Brilliant! Thank you to Harlow's Donuts for helping us out! They even put blue sparkles on them!

Back at the hospital...

We are smitten.

More visits from the girls

Unfortunately, Jeff started feeling sick. He had a pretty bad cold and was encouraged to leave the hospital by the pediatrician (and me-- I was on a major "no RSV for my baby" rampage! Having a baby in the winter is stressful!!) Anyhoo, we called in Jeff's sister, Connie, to stay with me and G.
Thank you, thank you for helping us!!!

The next morning, Jeff felt a lot better and returned to his post just in time to take us home.

What a sweet face!

And we're off! Now for the real fun to begin!
