At long last, it was moving day.
We have had our eye on this neighborhood for quite a while. Specifically one house. It went on the market last spring and we went to see it on a whim, just to see what it was like inside. That started a ball in motion that got us to today. We weren't able to make an offer on that original house because it sold so fast. Another just like it went on the market, and it didn't work out either. A third house in the neighborhood went on the market a couple of months later, so we made an offer on it and put ours on the market. The first week our home was on the market, no one came to see it. No one even called. Meanwhile, we were countering back and forth with the homeowners of the other house and they got another offer without a contingency. We didn't feel right pursuing that house with not even a nibble on our own. We had to let a third house go. We decided to leave ours on the market "just to see what would happen." Wow. God happened! That second week, our home showed ten times and was sold by Friday! Amazing! Except for the fact that there were no more homes for sale in our dream neighborhood, and that was the sole reason we listed ours to begin with!
We decided to write a letter explaining our situation. Jeff drove over and placed copies on mailboxes in the neighborhood hoping that someone might be considering moving, and would give us the opportunity to see their home before anyone else. Our prayers were answered, two days later we got a phone call from someone saying they were thinking of downsizing. We were able to go see the house a week later and we knew the moment we walked in that it was the home for us.
The circumstances surrounding the whole event were remarkable, and it was very evident to us that God's hand was all over it. The previous owners told us that they didn't really know why they were moving, there weren't any advantages to them at all. They ended up not even downsizing! However, they were touched by our letter and felt like God had put us in their paths for a reason, they were just stepping out in faith with the move. Amazing. We were all crying signing the contracts!! We feel so very humbled and blessed.
Our new home, sweet home

"I wanna mow!"
Sweet friends came home to play one day!
Kallen loves playing for an audience ;)
Graham was fighting his nap one day, so I left him awake in his room. When I went to wake him up, this is how I found him :) Sweet boy pulled out his nap mat and blanket and put himself to sleep!
Daddy's little shadow
With all the moving/packing/unpacking, I decided that G and I needed a day out. We went to the mall and rode the carousel. He loved it!
That afternoon was AES Spirit Night at Chuck E Cheese, so the fun continued!
Kinley hit the jackpot and her friend, Anna M. was there to witness!
Kallen and Alyssa
One of the perks of Spirit Night was a turn in the ticket blaster!
Sweet redemption for Kallen who was too scared to do it at her party last year :)
What a roller coaster we have been on lately! God is good, though, and just keeps amazing us. We can't wait to see what else He has in store for us in the coming months :).
