Big Brave Birthday Girl!

I am writing this on the eve of Kinley's first day of Kindergarten (whew, I am sooo behind...) and she truly is so brave and grown up. Where has my little baby girl gone?? On her actual birthday, we followed tradition and headed to the mall for the carousel and food court. This year, she really wanted to jump on the giant bungee/trampoline things.

Of course, little K had to get in on the fun, too!

Then the "cousins" met us at the mall just in time for the carousel.

And a train ride, too!

Then, Kinley randomly agreed to getting her ears pierced. !?! She had just told me no about twenty minutes prior. So, off we went to do it before she changed her mind. (She has been swearing that she didn't want to do it until she was 6 or 7, which was fine with me! Then, out of nowhere, she told her Daddy, "Yes, I do want to get them pierced"!)

So brave, this girl!!
1....2....3....

Voila! Beautiful!

No tears, all smiles!! So proud of you, big girl!

KK with all the gang

Then we went to Bud and KK's for the joint party for all the kiddos.
What is it???

It's a pillow, it's a pet... It's a pillow pet!

Happy Birthday to You! and you, you, you, you, and you!

Delicious Mandarin Orange Cake cupcakes (Shhh, the kids think they're just yellow cake :))

Wow, what a wonderful birthday celebration. We love you so much and are so proud to be your parents. And a special thank you to Ali, Jim, and the cousins for making the trip to share in your birthday celebration!!
