Christmas Day 2010!

....well...the girls finally fell asleep. When they went to bed, NORAD radar said Santa was in Knoxville, so that meant they had to hurry to sleep before Santa passed us by!
They made it! He came! He enjoyed his chocolate milk, chocolate chip cookie, and candy cane left out by the girls.

But did he leave coal in our stockings??

Of course not!

The girls woke up and rushed in to see if they made it to the Nice list. Kallen exclaimed, "him IS real!"
They quickly discovered Santa listened and brought them what they asksed for: Kinley got her scooter, princess skates, and a surprise--an art desk for her room, complete with art supplies!
Kallen got a Barbie bike with a pocket on the front, Tinkerbell skates, and a surprise--a Big Wheel!
They quickly tried everything out!

Presents, presents, and more presents...
This is a Tinkerbell house that they had both been eyeing. It is for them to share. After seeing it, Kallen became very sad because she remembered that she didn't get her very favorite fairy, Silvermist. She hadn't mentioned Silvermist in a while. Did Santa forget?? Hmm...

The girls made me my very own Pirate telescope. I'm not sure why pirates are such a fascination around here at Christmas time?? But I love it! They even decorated it and wrapped it themselves :)

Santa's so cool, he brought electric princess toothbrushes in their stockings!

We always do an Advent Calendar, but the 25th box is always left for Santa to fill. This year, the girls found a note...

They ran straight to the big Santa at our front door to look in the "snow" around his feet. When they started looking, Kallen found her Silvermist doll! And Kinley found her favorite fairy, Rosetta! Such pleasantly surprised girls :) Well done, Santa!

The aftermath:

Just when we thought the surprises were over, we looked outside and it was snowing! ON Christmas Day! Wow! That never happens here!
Bud and KK came to check out all the goodies and visit for a little while. Then, it was time to rest up for the next celebration at Pop and Gigi's!

In case you didn't know, silver shoes are definitely IN this season, ha!

After everyone got there, we snacked a bit and then let the kids go ahead and open their gifts. Each child got their own pile and took turns, youngest to oldest. They did such a great job taking turns and watching each other!

Kallen loved her present from Jack and Julie: a get well kit for her AG doll!

A cheerleader set for Kinley's doll!

A baby doll! That talks! A lot! haha.

Kinley loves her Rapunzel doll and book from Connie and Adam

A Kallen-sized chair!

Aw, and a Tiger for baby G!

The whole gang! Kinley, Olivia, Isabella, Lucy, Jackson, and Kallen

Christmas is such a special time of year and was truly magical for the kids this year. It's hard to believe that next Christmas we will have a baby boy in the mix! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!

Merry Christmas!
