Several of our friends' elves showed up Thanksgiving weekend, but our Dandy didn't make it until December 1st. The girls were really worried about him, but he explained it all in his letter. They were so excited to find him sitting in our tree!
He even brought some special PJ's with him!

How beautiful is this girl? I mean, of course I am biased, but I just love what a little lady she is becoming! It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect for a trip to the zoo to see Santa!
Someday we will have a Santa picture where no one is crying...

Christmas crafts
We had to go skating, of course! Kallen's next surgery is looming, so we are packing all the activities in that we can!
Note: Kallen is due to have the plate removed from her femur mid-December. We knew this was coming, but were expecting a relatively minor surgery similar to when her pins were removed in May. At her checkup appt prior to surgery, Dr. B told us it was more similar to her major surgery in Feb and she would be staying overnight in the hospital again. He said it may take a while for her to learn to walk again and that she may or may not be ready to return to school in January. Additionally, the holes in her femur where the screws are removed will leave her susceptible to fracture for up to a year. Not what we were expecting! But, we have faith that she will do as well as always. She is the best patient EVER you know :). Anyway, in light of the unknown recovery time, we are trying to pack in as much fun as possible before the surgery.

Jeff took a short turn on the ice and quickly decided it wasn't in his or his ankles' best interest. How ironic that he chose this spot to remove his skates, haha.
We had such a great night! Maybe next year G will be old enough to hit the ice?!
