How can it be!?! My sweet little baby girl is 8 years old!
At age 8, Kinley is such an amazing little girl. She loves to read, write stories, play pretend. She is kind, thoughtful, imaginative, and funny. She is resourceful, creative, artistic, and so smart. We are so proud of the young lady she is growing up to be!
We started her day with birthday muffins, then went out and grabbed a few things for her family party that evening. Of course, I had to surprise her with some birthday cookies!!
That evening, we all met at Mezcal for her favorite dinner. She did NOT want the staff to sing and make her wear the sombrero, so we honored her wishes and saved the celebrating for our house :)
She chose Krispie Krunch for her birthday dessert, yum!
At long last, it was present time!
Ooh, Justice!!
Ramona books!
Kinley got Saige!!!
Last up, Isabella rode in on Kinley's new bike!
Haha. This kid is not scared of pink!
Sweet kiddos
After opening gifts and hanging outside for a while, we had some American Girl Doll activities for the girls. In honor of her new doll Saige, we made feather jewelry for the dolls and cases for the girls to put their jewelry in. They had a lot of fun, and they all turned out so cute! Jackson patiently tolerated all the girly-ness by playing Wii :)
We ended the night with a bang, or a crash rather...Graham took his little battery-operated Thomas the Train for a spin on Pop's head, then Gigi's head. Problem is, Gigi has much more hair than Pop! Thomas got all tangled up in Gigi's hair and had to be removed. Thanks to Connie, Gigi got to keep most of her hair and Thomas only gained a little. Whew! Poor Gigi was such a good sport, sorry, Gigi!
We had a great night celebrating this precious girl. We love you to the moon, Kinny Reese, and you will ALWAYS be my sunshine!
