Kinley was invited to another party, so Jeff and Kallen went to the Tigers game together for a Daddy-daughter day! Kallen is racking up! Well, I guess Kinley is too with all of these parties! They went to Aldo's for lunch, yum!
Then they went to see the Peabody ducks!
They had a great time together at the game and being together :)
Meanwhile back at home...
Give this boy a cup and some water, and he is happy for a long time!
After having a beautiful Saturday, the weather turned once again and we finally got a little precipitation. It was mostly ice, but it was enough to close schools for 3 days! Pop and Gigi and the Boutwells were iced in all week and couldn't get out of their driveway!
For our first snow/ice day, I decided it was time for the girls to learn to do laundry. With supervision of course, they learned to sort, load, wash, dry, fold, and put away the clothes. They've done all of it before, but have never been "in charge". They did four loads of laundry and put it all away! Great job, kiddos!
Our icy wonderland
Kinley and G rocking out on their instruments :)
We have noticed that some kind of critter has been tearing up one of our patio chair cushions for the stuffing. We finally caught him in the act! It was actually pretty cute, he kept stuffing his cheeks full and then smoothing it down over his chin. He looked like a little Santa squirrel!
In between loads of laundry and violin practice, we did have fun, too!
They played play dough for probably three hours. Together. They had so much fun!
Then, it took me about 45 minutes to clean it all up. I have a true love-hate relationship with play dough, haha. But the kids loved it and made so many creative things! And yes, their pi's are on backwards. Snow day superstitions :)
The next day we went out to play for a while in what was left of the ice and snow.
They had a lot of fun sledding, but didn't last long because it was still so cold.
We went back home and played outside a little while before packing it up and heading in for hot chocolate.
Snow day #3, we were getting a little stir crazy and a lot low on groceries. So, we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Yum!
Finally, the ice melted away and the girls were able to go back to school Thursday, just in time for Dr. Seuss dress up day!
Three of my favorite "things"!
That night, Kallen's grade had their program. It was appropriately Seuss themed!
Kallen had a speaking part, but seemed cool as a cucumber ;)

She did a great job! Way to go, Kallen, and great job AES first grade!
