Top 5 Things You Can't Do in a Bodycast

5. Bend your legs
4. Cuddle and snuggle like you really want
3. Take a real bath
2. Wear a diaper properly
1. SWING!!!

As you can probably imagine, these last three days have been especially great. It's almost like time stood still from the minute we heard that Kallen would have to have surgery and a cast for 3 months. There weren't a lot of milestones during this timeframe, and although we KNEW she was growing, it really didn't hit home until that cast came off. We keep saying we put a baby in the cast and got a toddler out! I honestly feel like someone hit fastforward and all of a sudden my little baby is almost a year old! In these last few days Kallen has learned to crawl (for the 3rd time), learned sign language for "more", and learned to sit up again. I know she will be pulling up and standing before we know it. She was always a happy baby even with the cast, but her level of happiness these last few days is over the top. She is eating anything put in front of her (she will quickly regain the cast weight at this rate! eek!), giggling, babbling nonstop, and loving her free legs! We are so happy to have our baby back :)

Glad that's over for you. Did you guys get to save the cast? or was it too gross? Can't wait to see all of you this weekend. BTW, nice blog layout, it looks great!
