The end of January and beginning of February brought us several snow days this year. More than any year in recent history, that I can remember! The girls were surprised to look out the window one morning to see SNOW!!
So we bundled up and headed out to play
It was pretty windy out and the snow was actually more like ice, but Kinley managed to write her name in it!
Kallen sought shelter under the umbrella. Ouch! That snow hurts!
A couple of days later, the ground was covered and the driveway frozen. Kinley and Anna made it a "skating rink"
All the girls slipping and sliding
Then they took the jeep out for some 4 wheel drive action!!
Poor Kinley was determined to make a snow angel. Unfortunately, the snow was ice and was a little hard to punch through. She kept banging her feet and elbows to make indentions :)
I did a little playing in the snow, too!
Then, into a hot bath to thaw. The girls love to "dry off" in front of our space heater.
The next week, surprise!! More snow!! This snow was very cool, though. It was cartoon snow, the kind you could just roll into giant snowballs. They had the snowman made in about 5 minutes!
Jeff demonstrates the rolling action of the snow
Meagan and Anna (next door neighbors) and Kinley pose by their snowgirl. Complete with grape eyes and buttons :)
Kallen tries to make a snow angel
And then poses with the snow girl
We hope you all had a great time in the snow, too! It was fun, but we are now ready for some SUNSHINE!!
