Because in a flash, it came and went!
Kallen got one of those bouncy balloons at the dentist and Graham thought it was so fun!

Kallen's school had a "Hawaiian" day for "H" week. Lucky for us, our neighbors just came back from Hawaii and had some authentic clothes and jewelry just in Kallen's size! Here, she is trying to hula :)

I had a great birthday with my family. We went to dinner with my parents at Pei Wei, yum! Then, Jeff and the girls surprised me with my favorite ice cream from Baskin Robbins! Cookies n Creme or Gold Medal Ribbon...who can choose?
Kallen loves to get in Graham's crib when he wakes up. One morning I found them like this. No wonder they were having so much fun!
We also celebrated Graham's first Thanksgiving! Unfortunately, I have no photos :(. The stomach bug hit our house the day before my birthday with Kinley getting sick at school. By Wednesday night, Jeff and Graham had it. Thursday was Thanksgiving and they seemed to be better....until we sat down to eat. Jeff suddenly didn't feel so good after all and Graham was just grumpy. So, the boys had to make a quick exit for home to sleep it off. The rest of us had a great time and so appreciated Bud and Kk working so hard to have a great Thanksgiving for us. It's one of my favorite holidays, always has been. Maybe it's because it's close to my birthday, and maybe because it's a holiday where everyone just gets together without the fuss of shopping and presents. We just enjoy each other and feel, well, thankful! And maybe it's because my Mom's dressing is to die for and my Dad's turkey is so delicious and Jeff's family all comes and brings yummy food, too! I just love us all being together and hate that Jeff and Graham didn't get to enjoy it this year. Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself next year!
And, we had our first snow of the season! In November, no less!
It didn't stick and the kids didn't get out of school, but it actually snowed twice in November this year. Crazy, Memphis weather!

...after weeks of checking the front door in anticipation of a package...our elf arrived from the North Pole! Thank you, Santa!
We read the story and were very careful not to touch him. We had a really hard time naming him, though. Kinley really wanted him to be a girl, Kallen insisted he was a boy because he didn't have a skirt. We went through about a ba-jillion names and finally landed on K. J. Moochie, don't ask. By day two, we had renamed him Dandelion (whew!) after our favorite dog, Mr. Dandy. Kinley still thinks it's a girl and claims Dandelion is a girl name. Kallen thinks it's a boy and swears that Dandelion is a boy name. Whatevs, we're all happy with it.
In the morning he/she was out of its package!
In fact, he brought a special gift from Santa. A reminder for us of the true reason for Christmas.
This time of year is so magical, I can't wait to share some of our sweet memories-in-the-making!
