Happy Anniversary, Bud and Kk!

My sweet parents celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary Aug. 3rd! In honor of their big day, Allison and her kiddos came in town to celebrate. We always love spending time with them, the girls miss their cousins so much.

Graham loves having some boys to rough-house with :)

Me and sweet Jonathan

Bud found a big piece of cardboard for the kids to slide on. They love the big hill!

Pop and Gigi's neighbor went out of town and let them use their pool while gone. They invited us to come swim one day, but it was cool and overcast so we went to the park. After being there approx. 10 minutes, we were all sweating and decided to give the pool a try after all!

Kk and her crew!
(minus Graham, he wouldn't stand still long enough to photograph)

We had such a great time swimming! Thank you, Gigi!

And what trip would be complete with the Slip n Slide??

Another family favorite, a trip to the zoo!
And another shot that G would not participate in...

Kk and the elusive Graham!

Finally, a group shot!

At long last, it was time to celebrate!
My parents had a very small wedding back in 1973 and chose to have a reception at their favorite restaurant, The Luau, to celebrate with friends. Their favorite dish? Celestial Chicken. The Luau closed in 1982, but looks like it was a neat place, right!? I mean, check out the waitress's hair!

Anyhoo, my sister and I have heard about this Celestial Chicken all our lives, so when I found out that a restaurant here in Memphis serves the famous dish, my parents had to go check it out! They went a while ago, and said it tasted like they remembered. So, for their 40th, they wanted to take us there to celebrate! Uncle George and Aunt Nancy came, too! The food was really good, and so was the company :). Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! We love you and the example you have set for us. Happy 40th to my beautiful parents!

I'm not sure if you've tried to enjoy a meal with seven children lately, but it's nearly impossible. We decided the kids (and adults!) would have MUCH more fun if we got Miss Natalie to come stay with the kiddos. I'd say we made the right choice! ;)

A post-church picture outside of Danver's.
Such cuties!

Bud and Kk had the girls come and spend the night with their cousins! Fun!
I love this picture, so sweet.

It was a great visit, we were so sad to see them go. Already counting down until we see them all again!
