Blink, and it's Easter!

March was here and gone in a flash. But, we couldn't let the month end without dying some Easter eggs!

We let Graham participate for the first time. I don't think he gets it just yet...he threw the eggs into the dye like they were basketballs, then fished one out of the dye and tried to eat it, wet blue shell and all! Sigh. I had the great idea (not) to cut the kids' names out of vinyl and put them on the eggs before dying. Poor Kinley, all of her letters floated off in the dye, so we tried again. We worked and worked at getting those tiny little letters to stick and then carefully dyed it. It turned out pretty good, so we set it in the tray to dry. Graham promptly got a hold of it and gave it a good toss...onto the tile floor. Sweet Kinley laughed and asked if she could just eat the egg, haha.

Kinley made a "shell-phone". Get it? Cell phone? :)

Kallen Kaye :)

We were all excited to go to the local egg hunt the next day.

Graham did a great job, he and the girls had been "practicing" hiding eggs at Bud and Kk's. I think that gave him an advantage over the competition... ;)

Just as Graham's age group finished, it began to rain. The girls insisted on staying for their hunts, so we headed for the van to wait and eat some snacks.

Dedicated kiddos!

Kinley didn't mind the rain a bit and racked up, too!

And look who we ran into!? Her bestie, Ella!

Bud and Kk asked us to come by when we finished the hunts, they had some special goodies for the kids! The kids were all damp from the rain, so they sat and dried out in front of the fire. Ahh, they liked that!!

Whoa! Thank you!

Woo hoo!

That evening, we made sure to set out carrots for the Easter Bunny. The girls thought we should put ranch with the carrots. That's how they like them, after all.

And they drew him a special picture :)

Good night everyone, Sunday's coming!
